Archdale Business Signs, Lit and Unlit
Main Street in Archdale is a working road. Auto shops, restaurants, small offices, churches and service businesses line it from the High Point edge on south, and I-85 runs right through town with commercial lots clustered near the interchanges. Archdale sits mostly in Randolph County, just over the line from Guilford, and a lot of its businesses serve customers from both sides.
On a road like that, a business sign competes with every other sign on the block. JED Signs builds monument signs, lit cabinets and LED message boards for Archdale businesses and churches, and we repair the ones that have gone dark or started to lean. Most jobs here are about getting a sign that reads clearly to traffic and holds up for years without constant upkeep.

Picking materials that fit the street
Archdale's commercial strips mix older brick buildings with newer metal and stucco ones, so the sign should match the building it stands in front of. A brick base with an aluminum cabinet suits most older storefronts and churches. A stucco or painted aluminum base with routed letters suits newer offices and medical buildings. The low ground signs you see along Wendover Avenue and High Point Road in the Greensboro area are a good reference for what works on a busy road.
Lighting is the next choice. A face lit from inside with LED modules stays readable at night with very little power, and a programmable message board lets a church or business change its message without anyone touching the sign. Our page on the message boards and lit cabinets we install covers brightness, programming and what to expect from an LED face over the years.
Who calls us here
Restaurants and retail shops on Main Street call when a sign is too small, too old or not lit. Churches call when they want a message board in place of changeable letters. Offices and medical practices call when they move into a building and need a monument out front that matches. And property owners call when an existing sign is leaning, cracked or partly dark. A lot of the time that sign does not need replacing. We can often replace a face, rewire the lights or reset a base for far less than a new build.
Permits and setbacks
Archdale reviews freestanding signs through its own planning and zoning office, and lit signs need an electrical inspection as well. Because the town sits on a county line, we confirm which rules apply to your parcel before we draw anything. We handle the permit paperwork, mark utilities before any footing goes in, and build the sign the way it was approved. We look up the setbacks and size limits for your exact lot rather than quoting them from memory.
Towns next door
Archdale is part of a stretch of the Triad we work in all the time. We build for showrooms, churches and offices north of the line in High Point, for shops in Jamestown, and for churches and new subdivisions out in Pleasant Garden, up to the northeast. JED Signs is based in Greensboro and builds signs across Guilford County and the nearby Triad towns, and Archdale is a short drive down I-85.
Services we bring out here
Start with a photo
To get started, send a photo of the spot where the sign will stand, taken from the road, and one of the building behind it. Email both to jedsigns101@gmail.com, and use the form to tell us what the sign should say and whether you want it lit or fitted with a message board. Every sign is quoted by size, materials and lighting, with a drawing and the price in writing before any digging starts. The shop is open Monday through Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM and Friday from 8 AM to noon, closed on weekends, so a form sent on a Saturday gets answered first thing Monday.
